Panda: The Newest Edition To The LES1 comment

Last night was the super super soft opening (again with this?) of Panda, the newest green spot to hit the Lower East side. Everything is organic or recycled from the paint to the food. But what exactly is Panda?

According to owner Lee Kerzner, it is a cafe/art gallery/bar and lounge. The place has a serious living room feel. Like if you passed out and woke up you would SWEAR you were at someone’s house.

All the art on the walls is of pandas and my favorite had to be by Francis Simeni. It was a very angry panda that rounded out the comfy couches, hightop tables and stools.

Panda is currently hosting private events and will open to the public in mid-January.
