I made it to the tents about 15 minutes late (fashionably late if you ask me). I flew up the steps in such a huff nobody bothered to ask questions. I breezed right by security and into the salon where I found an overly packed house and no seats.
Tracy pulled a great front row, especially compared to last season’s show. Paris Hilton – doing her best A-Dubs impression with sunglasses and all – was joined by her sister Nikki. Sitting directly beside them was Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush. I was surprised to see how thin Kim is; where did that butt go? I have to give her credit because after the show when the Hilton’s ran out, she stayed behind with Reggie to take pictures. Oh yeah, and Solange was there too.
You know who’s the antithesis of The Wintour? Andre Leon Talley, my new favorite person in the world. Baby Boy arrived just as the lights were going down and insisted on standing in the back. Producers begged him to take a seat in the front row and he ever so politely declined. I was shocked, awed, and wanted to take the seat that was offered to him.
The show was great, nothing absolutely incredible, but a good showing at that. Tracy’s party at Greenhouse, on the other hand, was not as fortunate. It started at 9 and the only sponsor they could get was some wine company. The best part of it all was the enjoyment of seeing Frenchy from Rock of Love 2 smile. Normally I like to say people from TV look better in person, well not here. She looks like she got hit by the Rock of Love BUS and then it backed over her one more time for good measure. The Riesling ran out around 10:30 and I said “peace lata” so I could go home and pass out.
