Ed Westwick appeared Friday night at the Hotel Chelsea to lend his support to fellow Brit chum, New Yorker economics reporter and Dot.con author John Cassidy, who was celebrating the release of his second book, How Markets Fail: The Logic of Economic Calamities.
According to Publisher’s Weekly, the book “focuses primarily on the rise and fall of free market ideology and the mostly unrealistic ideal of a self-correcting marketplace.” The “Gossip Girl” actor was eager to snatch up a copy, following in the footsteps of his money-minded TV character. Hey, if anyone can get us out of the recession, it’s Chuck Bass, right?
