tim+morehouse Meet The Players: Tim MorehouseTim Morehouse is tall, funny and smart. If that wasn’t enough, he is an Olympic Fencer. As in he went to Beijing an helped the men’s fencing team win their first medal in over twenty years. He gives motivational speeches around the country to companies like Google and General Electric and has appeared on Oprah. Yes, Oprah. If he wasn’t so nice, I would hate him.

Name: Tim Morehouse
Birthday: July 29
Neighborhood: Inwood
Occupation: Olympic Fencer/Motivational Speaker/Education Advocate
Where do you go for tasty food? MMM, I’m definitely a steak and potatoes type of guy and I love the steak at Mercer Kitchen. Also, Mustang Sally’s on 28th and 7th has great buffalo wings, calamari and burgers if you’re in the mood for some good bar food while you watch a game.
Where do you go for a strong drink? Mojitos at Café Habana! (ok, maybe they’re not that strong, but they’re good!) Do people make strong drinks anymore???
Where is you favorite place in Manhattan? Oddly enough Coffee Shop in Union Square has been a mainstay for me for a long time. It has food, a bar, a lounge…something that fits almost any occasion.
What is your favorite thing about living in the city? The people! There are so many different kinds of people doing so many interesting things. I love just going out and meeting new people and hearing about all the amazing things they are doing!
When you need a break from the chaos where do you go? I’m all about my couch and some good TV when I need a break. Great shows to marathon: Californication, Big Love, Entourage, etc.
What Are Three Random Facts about You?
1)I was on an Emmy Winning Television Show called My First Time: Competing at the Olympics
2)When I was 12 I played the world chess champion Gary Kasparov…he kicked my butt.
3)I’m actually from NYC!! (No one ever believes me!)
