Ever notice that when looking at an American Apparel ad, you can never tell what the hell they’re selling. Anyway they had contest looking for the best @$$es and I’m surprised with the choice. This girl didn’t even have the best bottom. Oh well. Enjoy. Warning. The link is NSFW.
ChiChi212.com has teamed up with the Tribeca Retail Club to bring you Ladies Night Out In NY. $15 gets you open bar, a gift bag and a manicure!
You should, because if you don’t come, you will definitely be missing out. Don’t tell me you don’t want to see me at the door in all of my clipboard glory!
The last two parties were filled with VERY stylish individuals and you can take a look to find out what’s in store for you (Ella and Trinity Place).
There’s something about the way Perry Ellis was styled at the show. Normally I pass it in stores and don’t think twice, but after the show I wanted every design that came down the runway. Normally I don’t pay much attention to the clothing, but this stuff was actually good. I wanted EVERYTHING (except the horizontal striped sweater)! And congratulations to whomever did model casting on successfully picking nearly 25 identical models. Everybody needs a Perry Ellis boy to bring home to meet the parents.
My fashion week appearances were limited this year, but one show I did get to check out was Tadashi Shoji. The show was very plain, but I’m okay with that. No bells or whistles here, just nice short dresses for the ladies. They’re perfect for a hot night out on the town when you’re trying to pick up old men with money; very “Vegas Chic.” The dresses weren’t even too short, or too slutty; just well-made eye-catching designs. The only problem is, everyone may think you’re wearing BeBe or Cache when, in fact, it’s much nicer than that.
I had never heard of Loris Diran until I received the invite for the show, but was all about covering emerging designers. Loris Diran premiered his collect at the Bowery Hotel and I must say, the Bowery Hotel is a great space for a fashion show. I was so dead from my first night of Fashion Week, that I barely made it to the 12PM show, and thankfully I did because this was one of the best collections I saw all week!
C. Marchuska is an eco-friendly clothing line by Christine Marchuska and Brooke Bresnan. Their Fall/Winter collection was debuted last night at Village Green in the East Village and I loved it! The models strutted their stuff to the beat of DJ Chopps in chic, sustainable and affordable clothing.
