I like hearing music as much as the next person and I am a sucker for good pitches. And so I present to you: “the biggest thing to happen since 2 years from now” tonight at Mercury Lounge. Four acts of new music that will be huge… two years years from now.

Fat Jew is hilarious. If you don’t follow him on twitter, you should. He’s gross, but he’s very funny. This photo made it on to tweet photo courtesy of @iambenlyons and it is safe to say Fat Jew is making major moves. He’s one-third of Team Facelift and if you don’t know who they are peep the NSFW video of Sexual Perversions after the jump. Directed by Sebastian Bear McClard, this video made me a believer. Also check out two performances from Santos Party House earlier this month.

VH1 Save The Music is a charity I support because I believe in the importance of music in the classroom. I was introduced to the piano in 5th grade and have learned to play over one dozen instruments since. It’s very sad that funding is causing music to be taken out of the classroom, but we can help change that.

Although Good Units is not in the middle of party central, it is a great space for an all out rave. Located in the basement of the Hudson Hotel, it was packed for Jeremy Scott’s after-party. Kelly Cutrone and the rest of the People’s Revolution staff took it up a notch with The Misshapes, Santigold, a vogue dance troupe, oh and I’m sorry a BEN ‘N JERRY’S ICE CREAM CART.

Last night Samuel played to a packed room at Bowery Electric. He is a relatively new artist and I had the pleasure of seeing him a few weeks ago at The Studio at Webster Hall. This performance definitely won me over and it also didn’t hurt that Elliot Heller a.k.a. DJ Equal was on the drums and Mr. JPatt was on the keys.

My girl, DJ Lindsay Luv, is hitting Toronto this weekend to perform sets at StrangeLove, Cabin 5, and Reign Lounge. She is BLOWING UP in Canada and I can see why. Before she heads up north you can catch her at the Eldridge on Wednesday and SoHo Grand on Thursday.

I had the pleasure of seeing Samuel a few weeks ago at Webster Hall and I must say, I enjoyed myself. There will be a show this Wednesday at the Bowery Electric with The Postelles and it is free.
