TAB the Band is an up and coming group from Massachusetts who recently played CMJ and have rocked with everyone from Modest Mouse to Dinosaur Jr. I would defintely giving them a listen, particularly their tracks “Where She Was on Monday” and “Old Folks Home.”
I watched some really funny music videos and interviews, and figured it would be best to ask them some random questions, and let them go crazy. Enjoy.
1. Most bizarre New York moment?
No moment is too bizarre in New York. That’s why it’s New York.
2. Favorite obscure place on tour you played a show?
Peterborough, England. The promoter’s wife made us a tray of mayonnaise and egg sandwiches herself. It was a small town and we thought we were going to get our asses kicked by the locals, but by the end of the night we were all drunk, hugging and making plans for our next trip back.
3. Which band member is the least serious? (in a good way)
It’s a four-way tie between Adrian, Lou, Ben and Tony.
4. Five-year plan? (in a stalin or non-stalin way)
Non-Stalin: Year 1: Theaters. Year 2: Ampitheaters. Year 3: Arenas. Year 4: Stadiums. Year 5: Retire.
Stalin: Year 1: Facilitate collectivization through the creation of community farms. Year 2: Eliminate Kulak class of landowners. Year 3: Increase coal and iron production. Year 4: Increase electric power production through construction of plants. Year 5: Rapid industrialization achieved.

On Zoo Noises? The best one for that is ‘I Don’t Mind If You Cry’. It’s about the worst kind of heartbreaker, the one who preys on the romantic for his own gain
