What defines a B-List club? It could be a club that was A-List. Or it could be a place you take your out-of-town friends who are are too ugly/fat/poor to be taken elsewhere. It is harsh but so is this list Eater posted.
In case you missed it, here are the nine B-List clubs in New York. I hope these aren’t in chronological order…
For the most part I agree with this list. I wasn’t even aware The Collective had turned into a full-blown club, did I miss something?
But when it really comes down to it, a few of these venues are the first club ventures from their owners in New York who have since opened better venues (Tenjune, Marquee, Butter). It’s very difficult to have two A-List clubs, although everyone seems to be gunning for it by opening up all their spots within months of each other.
But it doesn’t seem too difficult to have two B-List clubs so shout out to Jon B.
