panda logoRemember last month I told you took keep a lookout for Panda in the L.E.S.? Well Panda is officially open for business and Blackbook sums in up in one pretty little paragraph.

Beloved bar Passerby may be no more, but former regulars and ex employees are still hell bent on making the night jump off (like Santos, for example). Sensei master Joe Latimore is back from a hiatus in SF with a new, hoppin’ two-room joint off Delancey. Think art of the Gavin Brown variety, drinks of the alcoholic sort, and peeps of the LIT (which is close) kind. A kicked back, kickin’addition to the L.E.S. mix. If you were down with Harold Hunter (R.I.P.), then you’re getting faded here.

I’ll have to check back in to see when the cafe will be in full effect. This place is going to serve organic treats that will probably be way cheaper than Whole Foods.

Panda is located at 139 Chrystie Street.

P.S. I don’t know what’s going on with the title of this post. It just sounded right.
