Cheshire Cat, you get a special treat today for being on it. Here is the apology/blame letter sent out from management at Tavern on the Green. They are not playing games. Alex and Leo, can I get a reply?
Note: I’m not blacking out any numbers or email addresses. This letter is coming to you “copy and paste.”

We are truly sorry for the incident that occurred on Halloween night. We suggest you contact the promoter whom you purchased your tickets from. Alex and Leo Promotions was the main promoter who contracted the party at Tavern. The contact info for Alex & Leo is 9173126845 and alexleopromo@aol.com. Unfortunately at this time I suggest you try emailing them as they seem to forwarding their calls to Tavern On The Green to avoid dealing with complaints.
Tavern authorized the promoter to sell no more than 2250 tickets as our legal occupancy is 2350. On Friday they told us they sold 2050 when in reality they very irresponsibly sold anywhere from 4000-6000 tickets or more. Putting peoples safety in jeopardy for their own profit. Tavern was fully staffed and had sufficient product and space to accommodate up to 2250 guests. The New York City Fire Department and NYPD shut the party down at approx. 1:00 a.m. due to the unsafe conditions and pre-paid guests in excess of 3000 outside in the street that couldn’t get into the party once we reached our legal capacity.
