pm Who's Ready for Griffin?50 Gansevoort street is almost ready to reopen its doors. This time as Griffin. Steve Lewis and Marc Dizon designed this space, so if nothing else, it’s going to be beautiful. Check out Dizon’s description of the venue.
According to Goodnight Mr. Lewis, Griffin will open sometime this month and will serve cocktails and tapas to an after-work crowd. We all know Manhattanites can’t get enough of tapas and $14 cocktails. Rumor has it that the Milk & Honey/Little Branch crew will be concoting the list.

“The management team consists of Josh Kaiser (Pink Elephant), James Hinojos (Lesly Bernard), Rachel Uchitel (Tao Vegas), and Hector Longoria (Cain). Josh is still in the Pink Elephant mix while he puts the Griffin staff through an intense training schedule.” Perhaps this means service will be decent. Or not.

The sound system is by Dan Ange and he is supposedly THE sound man on Manhattan. The music will be open format so let’s hope they get a good DJ in there.

Maybe this place will revive 14th street. I wonder how KyKy and Unik feel about their old space being their new competition?
