Have Satsky And Gefter Lost Lily Pond?
The weather is warming up and that means it is time to start planning for Summer 2010 in the Hamptons.
Word on the street is that Mike Satsky and Brian Gefter may have lost control over Lily Pond. And if that wasn’t juicy enough, the Cheshire Cat sent over an email that added fuel to the fire.

Subject: Notice
Notice of Existing Contract for Lily Pond located at 44 Three Mile Harbor Rd, East Hampton
As you are already aware, and to remove any doubt, you are hereby notified that MJS Events LLC currently has, in place, a fully executed and valid contract with Three Mile Harbor, LLC for the operation by MJS of the Lily Pond nightclub, located at 44 Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton (the “Premises”) for the 2010 summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day). To the extent that any person attempts to negotiate, interfere, or enter into a similar agreement for the operation of a nightclub or similar venue at the Premises, such person will be sued on the basis of, among other things, tortious interference with a contract.

Now I don’t know much about buying clubs, but I’m pretty sure if you’re in a solid contract and have control over your venue, you don’t have to send out an email to owners who may be looking at properties out East, reminding them that your space is unavailable.
The owner doth protest too much, methinks.
