“Darby Downstairs” Could Open As Soon As Next Week

Look at our friend James Mulcahy from NY Barfly. Not only is he kicking ass as a writer over at Zagat, but he also interviewed Alex Guarnaschelli and got us the scoop on the downstairs portion of The Darby.

It is oh-so-creatively called Darby Downstairs and Guarnaschelli had this to say “it will have a lounge menu with food. It will open in the early evening and be open all night – I’m not sure how late. That’s going to open probably by April first. It will be intimate.”

And there you have it folks. And for those of you who thought the new Butter project had been cancelled here is your answer to that: ” I know that it’s in the works, I know that it’s moving forward and I know that it’s beautiful. If I don’t get fired before then, I’ll be happy to let you know [laughs]. But Butter – it’s a survivor man, it’s nine years old.”
