The Eldridge Venue, Bought By A Former Model, Will Be More “Inclusive”

Sean Hughes is the “ex-model turned high-power broker” (oh Lord) who bought the Eldridge space for $300,000 (not $500,000 as originally reported).

Scheduled to open in May, the 12,000 square-foot-venue will get a new bar and more seats. Hughes is also working with a few restaurants in the area to deliver food to the space.

He’s also going to make it “more inclusive — instead of creating a super-super hip place where people pay ultra-high prices for bottle service.”

Umm who doesn’t want their venue to be super-super hip? I give him 6 months. And this guy was a model? For who? Someone PLEASE tell me. Peep his bio below if you really care.

Sean Hughes has built an impressive business in the world of luxury real estate. With a natural proficiency in high-end sales and development and an extensive network cultivated through years of professional acting and modeling, Sean brings to Town Residential millions of dollars of business from some of the city’s most prestigious addresses.

Drawn to Town for its energy and innovation, Sean owes much of his success to the authentic connections he makes with clients. A New Jersey native who once lived in Milan but has been a New York City resident for almost a decade, Sean studied at the legendary Stella Adler Conservatory in Manhattan and enjoys surfing and playing basketball. He has also volunteered with the pediatric unit at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and the Reach Out and Read Program at Bellevue Hospital Center.
