Unruly Heir Preview Party
Last night we partied in the cellar at Bloomies Soho, courtesy of Sportwear International. The magazine hosted a preview party for the Unruly Heir Spring/Summer ’08 collection. Designers Joey Goodwin and Curtis Rose may still be in their early 20′s, but their men’s wear line is just over a year old now. That’s practically vintage when you consider all the new names in sportwear right now.
Guests were throwing back Imperial Vodka drinks as they browsed Unruly Heir’s Banksy-does-the-Hamptons designs. And there wasn’t just a DJ at this party- friends of the designers made room between denim displays to perform a short set on keyboard and guitar. But it wouldn’t be a men’s sportwear party if man’s best friend didn’t show up. (And he did.) An appropriate touch for a label that describes themselves as “more stlye than fashion.”
So what’s in store for men’s wear this summer? Apricot shorts, ironic tees, graphic vests and hoodies.
